The municipality of Gazi Baba is a communication and transport gateway of the City of Skopje, an economic, administrative and social center of the entire country.
The municipality of Gazi Baba was founded on November 3RD, 1976. Located in the heart of the most industrial part of the city of Skopje, the municipality of Gazi Baba has a long-standing industrial tradition thanks to the excellent communications and transport links with all urban centers in the SEE region, at the crossroads of European corridor 8 (E65 East – West, Varna – Sofia – Skopje – Tirana – Durres) and European corridor 10 (E75 South – North, Athens – Thessaloniki – Skopje – Belgrade – Zagreb – Munich), with three industrial zones (Industrial Park Zelezara, Eastern Industrial Zone and greenfield zone Northern Ring Road), at a distance of 10km¹ from the Skopje international airport.
The municipality of Gazi Baba – Skopje is synonymous with industry and business in the Skopje region and beyond in the country. The municipality is the headquarters of the most successful domestic and foreign companies in the country in several leading industries – pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, metal processing industry, agribusiness and Food industry, logistics industry, energy industry, retail and wholesale trade, automotive component and mechanical industry, healthcare industry, IT industry and many others.
